8V MY16 Sportback 5dr S tronic 7sp quattro 2.5T Maybe it's the least-expensive Audi wearing an RS badge, but in terms of performance the RS3 is in hallowed territory. With 2.5 litres of inline five-cylinder engine producing 270kW/465Nm and delivering it to all four wheels via a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch auto, 19-inch alloys and ventilated disc brakes front and rear it's devastatingly fast (zero to 100km/h in 4.3sec) yet inherently stable in all situations. Yet practicality is its forte. It's spacious and luxuriously fitted out with heated leather sports seats up front, sat-nav, DAB radio, seven airbags and a comprehensive lineup of new-technology safety equipment.
