Overview
All S5s now run the supercharged 3.0-litre petrol V-six (the 4.2-litre V8 is now the domain of the RS5). The AWD Quattro system is standard across the board as is the TFSI direct/indirect injection, plus an engine stop/start system. With 245kW/440Nm it's capable of 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds, and it's possible to get a combined 8.1L/100km (8.5L/100km for the Cabriolet). Options abound, notably the Drive Select, with driver adjustable damping rates and rear power apportioning if you choose the Sport Differential offering. Alloy componentry graces the sophisticated suspension and front guards.
