G30 M550i xDrive Pure Sedan 4dr Steptronic 8sp M xDrive 4.4TT Mildly updated in late 2019 and due for further revisions in 2020, BMW's large-class 5 Series covers four-door sedans and station wagons. Spacious, luxurious and eminently capable, all 5 Series BMWs sit at the top of the large luxury segment and include four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines " 520i, 520d, 530i and 530e hybrid " a six-cylinder diesel (530d) and, in the AWD xDrive M550i model, a 390kW/750Nm 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8. All 5 Series are quick, but the M550i is blindingly fast: Zero to 100km/h comes up in just 3.8sec and its performance is contained by M Sport brakes and differential, adaptive suspension and an M aerodynamics package.
