Overview
All the M6 variants " 2/4-door Coupes and the 2-door convertible " share the same power train - i.e. a 412kW/680Nm 4.4-litre V8 and seven-speed dual-clutch auto. Major differences are the obvious retractable roof of the convertible, and the 113mm longer wheelbase of the 4-door. The convertible weighs in higher than the others due to added torsional strengtheners. As you would expect, there are a wealth of control systems and adjustabilities. You get six spot brakes, electronically controlled dampers and launch control. For added bragging rights, the engine can be uprated to 423kW with an accompanying reduction in acceleration times.
