Overview
Take a BMW X5, flatten the roof to form a fastback profile and what you have, essentially, is the new X6 Sports Activity Coupe. Running basically the same drivetrain as the more upright X5, the X6's aim in life is to mix SUV with hi-power five-door coupe. And it does, with strong performance from any of three engines, an effective 4WD system and a totally luxurious, spacious interior that only loses loading height when compared with the X5. Top of the range is the stirring xDrive50i twin turbo V8 that produces 300kW/600Nm and blasts to 100km/h in just 5.4 seconds.
