The Portofino's front-mounted 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 develops 441kW/760Nm and drives the rear wheels through a seven-speed dial-clutch gearbox, matching Ferrari expectations as far as performance is concerned. It accelerates from zero to 100km/h is a mere 3.5sec and, with the help of three driving modes, acquits itself with finesse when being flung around a series of corners. The Portofino offers a comfortable, well-presented cabin with most of the luxury basics, an excellent driving position " though the back seat, as you'd expect, is tight for legroom " and a properly useful, 292-litre boot.
