P4 MY25 V7-C Utility Dual Cab 4dr Spts Auto 8sp 4X4 2.0DT The Chinese brand Foton is not new to Australia. The last time its workhorse utes were sold here was 2019, but today they're US-inspired and (much) bigger. Available in dimensionally-identical V7 and V9 guise. They are expected to undercut pricing of similar-sized rivals such as the Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra, The Proton Tunland V7 4x4 ute is 5797mm long and has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, mated to an eight-speed automatic and good for around 120kW/450Nm. Foton says the braked towing capacity is 3.5 tonnes. Local distributor Inchcape is expected to roll out plans for fully-electric Foton models in the near future.
