Overview
Chinese vehicles are finally available in Australia in the form of Great Wall Motors dual-cab utes that start from less than $20,000. The Chinese utes fit visually and practically with the likes of Holden Colorado and Ford Ranger and offer a choice of two five-speed manual transmission four-cylinder petrol powerplants: a 78kW/190Nm 2.2-litre and a 100kW/200Nm 2.4-litre. The smaller engine is available in 2WD form only, while the 2.4-litre offers the choice of 2WD or 4WD. Equipment is relatively sparse, but does include air-conditioning, power windows and alloy wheels. Payload for the SA220 is 855kg: the V240 carries 1000kg.
