Holden#s billion-dollar VE Commodore launched in August 2006, bringing new levels of sophistication, safety, dynamics, comfort, space and style. Standard engine for the Calais is the direct injection, 210kW/350Nm 3.6-litre V6, coupled to six-speed automatic transmission. Stability and traction control are standard, as are six airbags. Consistent with Holden#s tendency to position its premium versions with a sporty aspect, the Calais models add sports suspension, parking sensors and automatic air-conditioning above Berlina specification.
