Overview
With SUVs virtually hijacking the family wagon market, a new approach was needed and the Holden Sportwagon is it. Using the Commodore sedan wheelbase, the new Holden is about style as much as practicality. The decreased load space is compensated with neat tricks such as the forward-hinged tailgate ? and more rear-seat legroom than the previous wagon. The base, four-speed auto-only 3.6-litre V6 has been upgraded to improve fuel consumption and reduce emissions, dropping power slightly to 175kW/325Nm in the process. The dual-fuel V6 receives more marked economy improvements. Stability and traction control, and six airbags are standard.
