Overview
The sports oriented, Elantra based Veloster, with its distinctive styling and 2+1 door arrangement, is well priced and equipped. Intended to attract buyers looking for a "driver's car", it takes the baton from the discontinued Tiburon V6. While it shares its engine with the Kia Rio (turbo version to come), it's the first Hyundai to be offered with a dual-clutch auto as an option to the manual transmission. The new transmission is said to improve fuel economy by up to seven percent and enhance driving refinement. The suspension has been tuned for local conditions and it boasts five ANCAP stars.
