Overview
The Kia Sportage has grown to become a more road-friendly small SUV since it first came here in 1996. The current Sportage II owes much to the Hyundai Tucson and is more on than off-road with on-demand 4WD or, on the turbodiesel, front-wheel drive. The EX-only Sportage offers two powerplants 'petrol 129kW/241Nm 2.7-litre V6 or 103kW/304Nm 2.0-litre turbodiesel. The 2.0-litre turbodiesel drives through a six-speed manual transmission only. Turbodiesel equipment includes stability and traction control. Both models come with anti-lock brakes, dual front airbags and cruise control ' but curtain and front side airbags are optional
