Swedish hypercar builder Koenigsegg's Agera RS claims such fame. The 865kW/1000Nm mid-mounted 5.0-litre V8-engined hypercar became available in Australia in late 2018 and is on the books as the (unofficial) holder of the average top speed record of 447km/h, set on a highway near Las Vegas in the US. The Agera RS can also brake: testing on a Danish airfield in 2017, it recorded a standstill to 400km/h and back of just 26.88 seconds " faster than a Bugatti Chiron.
