It was only a matter of time before Lexus made its move in the hotly contested premium coupe-convertible ?CC? market segment. The new convertible builds on the platform of the IS250 sedan but strips away two doors and, when asked, the roof. Using the same 2.5-litre 153kW/252Nm V6 powering the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential auto transmission, the convertible comes in Prestige, Sports and Sports Luxury form with RRP prices spanning $79,000 to $99,900. No details on equipment at the time of writing, but the kit is expected to more or less mirror that of IS 250 sedan equivalents.
