111 MY21 Sport 240 Final Edition Roadster 2dr Man 6sp 1.8SC In the best Lotus tradition, the last of the 25-years-old Elise model champions focussed, light-weight minimalism. Making way for a new generation Type 131 family, the Final Edition Elise comes in Sport 240 and Cup 250 forms, along with up-powered but slightly de-torqued versions of the mid-mounted supercharged 1.8-litre engine, respectively producing 179kW/244Nm and 183kW/244Nm (the previous Sprint 220 produced 162kW/250Nm) and claiming a zero to 100km/h time of 4.3sec. Passenger comforts are minimal: Driver involvement is set to the max. If cushy, all-road cruising is pretty much stricken off the list, so what? The Elise delivers a driving experience more involving than many big-ticket sports cars.
