Powered by a 3.5-litre mid-mounted Toyota V6 producing 305kW/420Nm, the Lotus coupe offers optional extra seats and comes with tied-down double-wishbone suspension, staggered tyre/wheel dimensions and an uncompromising focus as a pure driver's car. The cabin is well-presented, the ride is acceptable for a full-on, lightweight coupe and the engine/transmission are nicely tractable. But despite its searing performance and shattering exhaust note, its most-savoured attribute is its handling: For sheer driving pleasure, few others come near the latest version of the now 10-years-old Evora.
