Overview
Introduced in 2007, the Thai-built Mazda2 reflects Mazda's current ultra-wedge styling trend. The Genki is the flagship model, and it's reflected in the price. What you get for your hard-earned are 16-inch alloys, a sports body kit, and foglamps. All Mazda2s are powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder MZR petrol engine developing 76kW/135Nm. Gearboxes are a five-speed manual or four-speed auto. These return 6.4 L/100km and 6.8L/100k respectively. Safety features include stability/traction control, plus a healthy compliment of six airbags. Recent models have also been graced with upgraded suspension for improved ride quality.
