MY17 Coupe 2dr SSG 7sp 3.8TT If you can imagine a McLaren 570S mid-engined coupe with softer overtones, then you're probably thinking about the (more-expensive) 570GT version. Even though it gets the same 419kW/600Nm 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8, the 570GT rides more softly, is quieter and a little more forgiving than the 570S to steering inputs. It is also able to carry a bit more luggage, in an insulated, readily-accessed 220-litre space behind the seats. Although you'd never call the McLaren 570GT's 1400kgs heavy, it does nevertheless weigh 56kg more than the 570S. Although the sprint from zero to 100km/h takes 3.4sec, compared to 3.1sec in the 570S, the 570GT remains devastatingly fast.
