T9 MY16 Active Hatchback 5dr Spts Auto 6sp 1.2T A French competitor in one of the hottest segments in the new-car market, Peugeot's 308 measures up with hatch or wagon good looks, a nicely balanced ride-handling compromise and sizeable, hatchback-versatile and wagon interiors. The 308 offers three engines and automatic or manual transmissions, both six-speeders. Base engine is a thrifty, characterful 96kW/230Nm three-cylinder turbo-petrol in Active and Allure variants, followed by a 200kW/330Nm 1.6-litre in the punchy GTi, a torquey, thrifty 110kW/370Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel (Allure) and a 133kW/400Nm variant of the same engine in the GT model.
