Powered by either 254kW/390Nm 3.6-litre or 283kW/420Nm 3.8-litre horizontally opposed rear-mounted six-cylinder engines and with the choice of all-wheel or two-wheel drive, the soft-tops deliver rousing 911 performance with the added pleasure of open-top motoring. Transmission choices include Porsche's PDK seven-speed automated manual or a regular six-speed manual gearbox and the 4WD system employs a multi-plate clutch to distribute torque between front and rear wheels.
