DJ MY24 Laramie Rambox Utility Crew Cab 6st 4dr Auto 6sp 4x4 828kg 6.7DT The RAM 2500 doesn't exactly dwarf its smaller RAM 1500 sibling but it does make a Ford Ranger look a bit like a 1980s one-tonner. More than six metres long, 2.6 metres-plus wide and standing better than two metres tall, the massive RAM 2500 comes in four variants, all powered by an inline six-cylinder turbo-diesel displacing 6.7-litres and producing 276kW with a mighty 1152Nm of torque. The engine drives through a six-speed auto transmission to a dual-range 4x4 driveline. The towing capacity, equalled by the RAM 1500, is one tonne better than popular workhorse utes at 4500kg. The payload, given the RAM's massive size, is an unexpected 885kg.
