Comments from the seller

Selling my 1957 super 88 Oldsmobile 4 door holiday with the golden rocket 6.1L V8. To my knowledge I'm the second owner apart from the importer who was local to my area, its a Californian built car I was advised it came from a hot area which the vin tags verify and the condition of some of the door seal rubbers support that as they are brittle and starting to perish on the passenger rear door, all other rubber have the usual cracking on them but hold there seal. Nice patina on the paint and chrome all badge work ornaments are present and it looks to have had a closed door respray in its life as there is evidence of over spray on the boot seal rubber, but the paint has faded so much its almost a mat finish. Rust wise apart from some surface patina and surface rust on the inner passenger upper door seal bodyframe. Chrome on the body and chassis is in good condition I did find one rust repair on the driver side floor pan but it looks to be a nice repair. Other than that i couldn't find anything more but the car sits low and i'm yet to have it on a hoist. The speedo does not read a speed leading me to believe the transducer is worn and will need replacing, the cable is fine and i have a spare. not an accurate reading on KM's and its hard to tell how long its not been working for but the car runs well and any spares will be passed on with the sale aswell as other related things like a work shop manual and user manual which is not original to the car but period correct. interior light cover has perished replacement is on the way, all other interior parts are present, its just a matter of replacing globes ect for the interior courtesy lights or the engine bay/boot lid courtesy lights. Original jack and spare is present still rolling on the good year tires and 14inch factory steel rim with the correct hub stainless steel hub cap also has 20inch smoothies tires are near new.V8 auto with a alternator conversion and a new battery, it has aftermarket gauges and a cd player mounted under the dash which is how I received the car. currently on non transferable club rego that runs out in December 2025. The car presents as a solid original old car, simply selling to find a another Aussie or jap classic Rh drive that the family can enjoy so I am open to swaps VL wagon, ford, holden V8 RUNNING OZ classics and or subaru RS WRX, landcruiser 45,60 series. This sale isn't motivated by money just looking for a new Toy. $38,000.00. please call for further info not responding to txt messages. Thank you.
