This is an original Twin Cam RHD Roadster. Original colour was red, with Black interior.
It does not have the original engine. I have a spare Twin Cam engine that came out of an Australian delivered Twin Cam that goes with the car. The air cleaners in the photo are no longer with the engine.
This is one of 457 Twin Cam roadsters (RHD) produced. A total of 1788 Twin Cam Roadsters were made (LHD and RHD). Total Twin Cam cars including coupes 2111.
A very rare car.
Production started at number 501, so this is the 1612 car made. (number 2113)
Number YD1, the 1 denotes RHD home market (UK).
Still wears its original Registration plate from 4th July 1959 (first registration date)
Last owner kept the car for 45 years. Included is the original buff log book detailing first registration date, and date of engine change.
The car no longer has its twin Cam engine, but is fitted with a standard MGA engine. The rest of the car is original twin Cam, with all the usual extras, disc brakes etc.
