1965 Volkswagen Type 3 1500N Notchback
Description
This 1965 VW 1500N Notchback is a German built, Australian delivered car in Lotus White. First delivered by Brisbane Service Motors in February 1967. A rare exceptional example of this model including the original maintenance card, original number plates, early service history confirming chassis and engine numbers, workshop manual and original sales brochure.
A fully nut and bolt restored car to original specification with photographic history to suit collector.

Bare metal respray in original Lotus White
Front and rear beams stripped and repainted in original chassis colour
New mounting rubbers front and rear
New window & door rubbers throughout
Engine & Gearbox:
Original engine rebuilt with detailed engine bay. NOS exhaust with refurbished heat exchangers all ceramic coated, rebuilt original single carburettor

Rebuilt suspension front and rear
Re-sleaved master and slave cylinders, new flexible hoses and brake lines
New Michelin XZX 165SR15 tyres
Steering:
Rebuilt original steering box with new track rod ends throughout

Retrimmed dash, new matching rev counter in place of clock
Original rebuilt Awa radio with new internals and Bluetooth connectivity
