Up for sale is my 1987 BMW E30 325e Manual.
This is an exceptionally well-preserved and tastefully maintained example that would suit the discerning enthusiast or collector. Finished in dark green with a beige houndstooth interior, it presents beautifully throughout and is, in my opinion, one of the cleanest E30s currently available on the Australian market.
The interior is a real highlight, remaining in outstanding condition with no tears, stains or odours. It retains its original charm and has been tastefully enhanced with genuine TC Baur TopCabriolet period-correct accessories, preserving the timeless styling and character that make the E30 so iconic. One key interior highlight is no cracked front dash, which is a rarity itself.
Mechanically, the car has been extensively maintained throughout my ownership by a highly regarded BMW specialist in Eltham. It was fully serviced last month and requires nothing mechanically—simply buy, drive and enjoy. It starts first time, idles smoothly and drives exactly as an E30 should.
A quality aftermarket muffler has also been fitted, giving the M20 engine a refined, sporty exhaust note that perfectly suits the car—noticeably deeper than standard without being loud or over the top. The only challenge is the instrument cluster odometer has stopped working, before I purchased it from the previous owner. It currently reads at 203,219km and is no longer increasing. This can be replaced and fixed pretty easily. The car has been driven only occasionally while on Club Permit store in a covered garage with trickle battery charger.
A timeless, sophisticated classic and the perfect gentleman’s weekend car, equally at home on a Sunday drive, winding country roads or parked at a Cars & Coffee meet.
