Originally owned by a retired mechanic of a prominent Adelaide performance and speed shop. The car then sat unused for around seven years before I found it. Since then it has been my daily driver while I did a rolling rejuvenation. each night I would take off a plastic panel or trim piece, rejuvenate/restore it and refit it again while driving it daily to sort out any issues from its 7 yr undercover break.
Pre production aug 89 (2 months prior to official release date in Australia)

Needs attention: the CV joints have started to click so they will need doing. It runs and drives well otherwise and I only have stopped driving a month ago as I didn’t want it fail and I’m not planning to invest in the repairs and keep the car as I’ve found a new project and my interests have shifted.
Car is a sound investment that will only appreciate in value. It is said that the rare pre production capri’s are set to become known as a classic car and sought after due to there prediction of notable value. This is one of just over 400 or so made in August before official release in October and only for sale because I’ve taken on a new project. I’d like this Capri to go to someone who will continue the restoration and keep a piece of Australian motoring history on the road. The Capri was one of the few Australian-built cars sold overseas, so surviving examples matter.
