289,000 km | ACT registration until December 2026 (can be put on historic registration).
Selling my 1990 Volvo 240 wagon, which we’ve owned since 2021 and which has taken us on many amazing road trips in Tasmania, South Australia, NSW, ACT and Victoria. She has been very reliable and dependable as a camper, renovator and all round companion car!
A classic Gothenburg, Sweden built wagon with plenty of character, a comfortable beige leather interior and extensive documented maintenance history dating back to 2015.
The car drives well and has always been well maintained during my ownership, with mechanical components replaced as required. It has also been used for road trips, with a simple, completely removable camping setup.

There is plenty of additional documented work dating back to 2015, too much to list here.
The car presents well for its age, with paintwork in generally good condition and some minor surface rust, nothing major or structural.
The leather interior is generally tidy, with some wear to the driver’s leather seat. The passenger and rear seats are in great condition.
As you’d expect of a 36-year-old vehicle, it isn’t a concours example, but it’s an enjoyable and practical classic that has received considerable mechanical attention over the years and turns heads whenever it goes out.
Included with the sale:
• Box of spare parts
• Extensive maintenance receipts
• Completely removable camping setup
Available by separate negotiation:
A genuine vintage, Swedish-made THULE basket roof rack, which complements the car’s classic appearance beautifully.
An increasingly distinctive sight on Australian roads, the Volvo 240 wagon is renowned for its practical design, durability and unmistakable styling.
A great option for someone looking for a usable classic, an interesting daily driver or a characterful road-trip wagon.
Genuine enquiries welcome.
