If you're looking around at options for buying an epic, highly collectible, 3200GT Maserati with the iconic boomerang LED tail lights this one has had a professional engine rebuild which was completed in late 2025 and cost over $25k. About 3000km on the clock.
This car got the last new genuine Maserati Cylinders available in the world - it is absolutely purring. It's an amazing car - but it's time for me to sell!
So if you're a collector this engine is quite possibly the most pristine available anywhere. If you're a driver it's reliable. Everything else that wasn't quite right with this car when I bought it I have had fixed (another 10k or so) and I have the receipts. Everything works.
The body and interior are OK with room for improvement, much more easily fixable than an engine. Ring around and get a quote on rebuilding one of these engines and let me know what you find out.
If you buy a car with an un-restored engine you honestly can't know what you're getting - so you better have 30k plus in the bank in case it has a problem ...and you'll be milling your own cylinders... if that's even possible. If you live on or near the Sunshine Coast this car has an incredible talented professional mechanic who knows it inside out.
