Brisbane CBD Location - LPG Certified as at 9/10/2026 - Roadworthy certification pending 29/10/2026
Please text with enquiries as I miss the messages on here frequently :)
The van must sell in the next two months as I don't wish to redo LPG & Roadworthy again - so the longer you wait the lower a price I will accept, but also someone else might get it before you. Please text me to view it and/or arrange a test drive. Thanks!
Camper With Solar, Fridge, Fans for Summer
I bought this 2001 Mitsubishi Express camper in March 2024 from the guy who converted it to a camper. It has a fold up double bed and storage, with mattresses custom made by the previous seller who is an upholsterer by trade. He made it so he could carry his motorbike onboard and tour Australia. I've only used it for storing stuff and traveling between Brisbane and Gold Coast once a month or so to see family. I've put about another 5000km on it during the time I've owned it. I had it serviced and now she purrs. Would suit a backpacker looking to travel Australia and do some stealth camping. Camping cooker, mini vacuum cleaner, power inverter, various tools, tyre jack, universal laptop adapter, frying pan, bread board, cups included and various other camping equipment including solar shower, clothes line, water hose, camp chairs, etc.
I love the van, but I barely use it and it's better for the solar battery to be in the sun. It also gets charged off the engine and is better suited to someone who can use regularly. I use it so infrequently that the car battery went flat after 3 months of none use and I had to buy a new one, so that brand new. It's just a waste of a vehicle that someone should be having fun with. The previous seller who fitted it out gave it up to go back to Italy for sick family. He had planned to "circumnavigate" Australia and got 60000km out of her. I picked her up and she's served her purpose for me. It's time for her story to continue with someone else.
I've had her tuned up and she runs super well on petrol and LPG. She comes with jerry cans for petrol, so you can do long stretches through Australia without service stations. The lpg alone gets about 350km on 35 litres of gas for about $35. Full tank of petrol is 40litres and there are 2 20 litre petrol cans for long distances.
The house power runs the fridge, lights, fans, usb power and whatever else is plugged in to the cigarette chargers or the usb.
I paid $6500 for her and have spent about $2k in servicing. She's fit for her next adventure.
