Now for the real comments. I bought this car as a weekend car when I had a company Triton dual cab ute. I have changed jobs and the ute has gone so I now need to change cars and get something bigger. This is a nice clean 2007 Mini Cooper manual. It has had a lot of time and money spent on it over the last few years to make it a reliable daily driver. This includes :
- reconditioned head including new valve seats (valve seats are a know problem with this engine)
- new head gasket, rocker cover gasket and exhaust and intake gaskets
- new water pump, PCV and hoses
- new clutch
- new front and rear main oil seals
- new catalytic converter and exhaust manifold
- new coil packs and plugs
- new rear shock absorbers and sway bar bushes
- new engine mounts x 2
- new oil filter housing gaskets (a known issue)
- new K&N air filter
I have added an aftermarket android auto/car play unit with reversing camera. The car has custom plates which will come with the car for the asking price. I will include a RWC for the asking price or I will take $400 off if you want to get your own RWC. I have had more compliments about this car and the colour scheme than any other car I have owned, It has had a recent oil change/oil filter change/coolant flush and change. You will either love or hate the custom plates, but what else could they be for a car that is small, yellow and cute (sorry, I grew up as a Loony Tunes fan so it was a logical choice).
The down side :
- this is a 19 year old car so it is not perfect
- the sunroof works and is 100% waterproof but it does stick when closing. I can open it and close it without an issue but if it is a problem to you then it is best to leave it closed.
