Aston Martin is the most desirable car make and, in my opinion, the DB9 is their most beautiful car. This one has an Onyx Black metallic exterior, with a cream and black leather interior. Plus an Alcantara headliner. It has 19", ten spoke alloy wheels and red brake calipers.
This 2009 model year, is the second generation of the DB9, so it has the upgraded V12 engine, better interior and nicer seats (heated & electric with 3 memory settings). It combines exceptional good looks, with raw power and modern driving convenience.
The power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.9 litre V12, rated at 350kW (470 horsepower). The engine wails, there is no better sound! It's linked to a 6-speed ZF (Touchtronic 2) automatic gearbox. With flappy paddles, if required. But who can be bothered. Acceleration is amazing, as is the handling.
Firing up the V12 and smiling are inseparable.
While in my ownership, it's been serviced by Bamford Rose (Australia). If you know about these cars, you know who Bamford Rose are.
Improvements that I have made include primary cat removal, front and rear cameras and Android Auto and Apple Carplay. It also had new brake rotors and pads this year. And new front tyres (Michelin Pilot Sport S4) in 2024 have only covered around 5,000 ks.
The car is always garaged. It goes for regular runs with the Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC). This car appears in the (2025) AMOC 90th Anniversary Glovebox Guide, as the definitive example of a 2008 to 2010 car, worldwide! A hardback copy of the book will come with the car.
This car DOES Have.
* The second generation V12 engine. So, no V12 'tick'.
* Proper analogue instruments.
* Red tail lights.
"Bad things" this car Does NOT Have.
* Touchscreens.
* Turbochargers.
* LED headlights.
* Matte paint.
* A sagging headliner.
Minor Blemishes.
A tiny mark on the centre console.
Minor kerb rash on some wheels.
Regular wear commensurate with the car's age.
The car has travelled a modest 72,000 kms.
It comes with a factory trickle charger, fitted factory fleecy cover, the umbrella and 2 original keys. It has the instruction manual, log book and all recipients, that I have.
The car is 17 years old but looks and smells like it left the factory last week. It always draws admiring looks and comments. The pride of ownership is immense. As the design of modern Aston Martins becomes more questionable, this car becomes more beautiful.
This car is not for dreamers.
