Overview
With SUVs virtually hijacking the family wagon market, a new approach was needed and the Holden Sportwagon is it. Based on the same wheelbase as regular Commodores, the new Holden is as much about style as it is about practicality. Despite losing load space, the Sportwagon helps make up with neat engineering such as the forward-hinged tailgate -- and more rear legroom than the VZ wagon. Upgrade to SS-V and regular SS gear is augmented by curtain airbags, substantial 19-inch alloys, leather trim, automatic climate control and an upgraded, 11-speaker sound system -- all of which lifts the SS-V Sportwagon into Euro-competitive territory.
