Overview
Hyundai's i30 five-door hatch is the car touted to have put the Korean company firmly on the map as a credible maker of highly competent cars. Now, there's the longer-wheelbase wagon version, with an expanded load space capable of carrying up to 1305 litres inside, or an extra 80kg on the standard roof rails. Like the hatch, the wagon offers the 105kW/186Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine, or the zesty 85kW/255Nm 1.6-litre turbodiesel driving five-speed manual or four-speed auto transmissions. The SLX version adds front, side and curtain airbags, 16-inch alloys, climate control, cruise control, trip computer and upgraded audio.
