Overview
The third generation, constant all-wheel drive Subaru Forester SUV comes with more of everything # new looks, a bigger interior and revisions to the both the regular (126kW/229Nm) and turbo (169kW/320Nm) 2.5-litre boxer engines. Transmissions are a four-speed auto or a five-speed manual. Bumping the wheelbase by 90mm has increased passenger and cargo space, as has a widening of the body by 60mm. No off-roader, the Forester ups its credentials with more ground clearance (220mm), while approach and departure angles compare with Mitsubishi Outlander and Honda CR-V. The five-star ANCAP Forester has six airbags, stability control and uprated all-disc ABS brakes.
