Overview
Volkswagen's Eos has a real ace up its sleeve: As well as a metal folding hardtop, it also builds-in a sliding glass sunroof that makes it a full, al fresco convertible one minute, and a metal-roofed coupe, with sunroof, the next. It seats four people quite well, and is decently quick with two 2.0-litre engines - a 103kW/320Nm turbodiesel, or a 147kW/280Nm turbo petrol ? and six-speed manual or DSG transmissions. Eos comes with stability and traction control, dual front and front side head-thorax airbags, pop-up rear roll bars, parking sensors, 17-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, eight-speaker, six-CD audio ? and the sunroof.
