Overview
Ford's Focus hatch and sedan models were freshened up with the latest LV versions arriving early in 2009. A new front end, and a revised interior give the beneficiary of a model-sharing programme with Volvo and Mazda a modish new look. The range embraces base CL, LX, Zetec, TDCi and XR5 models with engines ranging from a 107kW 2.0-litre petrol through a 100kW 2.0-litre turbo diesel to the XR5's 166kW Volvo-sourced five-cylinder turbo. The TDCi turbo diesel produces 100kW/320Nm and is fitted with Ford's new, double-clutch six-speed automated manual PowerShift transmission. The result A claimed 5.9l/100km.
