Overview
KIA's solitary model Carnival is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol V6 which makes 139kW/249Nm and returns 10.7L/100km through its four-speed 'Sports Automatic'. The eight-seater has handy standard features. There are dual sliding doors, vertically opening tail gate, and many seat configurations - the rear folds away totally, increasing rear load space - and the backs of both middle and rear row fold forward for a space of 2.5 cubic metres. Driver wise, the dash is simply logical, and passengers get separate front and rear temperature zones. There's ABS, stability/traction control, EBD and eight airbags. Competitors include Mitsubishi Grandis and Chrysler Voyager.
