A great-looking 2011 Kia Optima Platinum in great condition both inside and out. This vehicle has plenty to offer someone looking for a project car, a potential repair, or a source of quality parts. Sadly, my daughter does not have the funds to repair, and I don’t have the mechanical ability. The full-service history indicates that is has been well looked after in the past.
Important mechanical disclosure:
Starts and runs, but has an engine knock. The mechanic initially suspected a cam-related issue. Further investigation revealed brass-coloured sediment in the sump, suggesting possible internal engine bearing wear. The exact cause and extent of the damage have not been confirmed.
The vehicle is therefore being sold as is with this known mechanical fault, and buyers should make their own assessment before purchasing.
Cosmetically, the car is in great condition and would suit someone with the mechanical knowledge and ability to investigate and potentially repair the engine, or someone looking for a well-presented vehicle for parts.
