The Maxx sits in the middle of the model range and adds 15-inch alloy wheels, a full six airbags and six CD sound system. The hatchback also gets a rear spoiler. All Mazda2s are powered by a 1.5-litre four cylinder MZR petrol engine which develops 76kW/135Nm. Gear boxes are a five-speed manual or four-speed auto.
