Volkswagen's Caddy Maxi van is 470mm longer than the base Caddy with increased carrying and load capacity of up to 850kg and 4.2 cubic metres respectively. It can be specified with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 77kW/175Nm, or either of the 75kW/250Nm 1.6-litre, or 103kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo diesels. The base model comes only with a five-speed manual transmission, with a six or seven-speed DSG sequential manual optional with the turbo diesels. The two-seat Caddy Maxi Van gets ABS/stability control, driver and passenger airbags, basic CD audio and air-conditioning. Options include side airbags and parking sensors.
