The LW Focus promises high passive and active safety levels in a strong, rigid and light package. MKII upgrades include added safety (Active City Stop) and interface (SYNC) technologies for the Titanium which runs improved economy turbodiesel and petrol engines driving the front wheels (18-inch alloy) through a dual-clutch six-speed auto. The outstanding feature is the Active Park Assist. Boot and hatch space are generous, but there is the space-saver spare. With head, side and curtain airbags for all occupants, hill start assist and "Torque Vectoring Control" combined with ABS and stability control, it deserves its five ANCAP stars.
