Overview
The Maxx has been upgraded with more kit for less outlay. There are 15-inch alloys, a roof mounted spoiler, plus body coloured bumpers, door handles and mirrors. Inside there's cruise control, aux inputs, USB and iPod inputs. All Mazda2s are powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 76kW/135Nm. Gearboxes are a five-speed manual or four-speed auto. These return 6.4 L/100km and 6.8L/100km respectively. Five star ANCAP safety features include stability/traction control and six airbags. Recent models have also been graced with upgraded suspension for improved ride quality.
