Overview
Nissan's Tiida was developed along more utilitarian lines than its Pulsar predecessor to provide a large interior, plus levels of quality commensurate with other small-car contenders. The small hatch and sedan have proportions not immediately embraced by most new-car buyers - although once inside, passengers quickly discover what the Tiida is all about. No one offers more impressive rear-seat space and the general air of quality is quite apparent. A 2010 facelift minimally changes the looks, while rationalising the model range to ST and Ti variants. The 93kW/174Nm 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine, with six-speed manual or four-speed auto transmission, remains.
