In line with current trends the Corolla Ascent has recently received stability control (VSC in Toyota speak), now making it a model wide standard fitment. Powered by a 1.8 litre DOHC in-line 4-cyl petrol engine it produces 100kW/175Nm. Fuel economy is quoted as 7.3 l/100km for the manual. Other safety features include ABS and driver/passenger airbags (with the upgrade option of curtain and knee bags).
