2013 Audi A3 Sportback Ambition 2.0 TDI Diesel | Automatic | ~140,000km
Selling my Audi A3 Sportback, which I’ve owned for the past four and a half years.
I bought the car with just over 120,000km on the clock and it’s now sitting at around 140,000km. I’ve only driven around 4,500km per year during my ownership, mainly around Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs with the occasional longer trip.
It’s honestly been a fantastic car to own. Drives beautifully, especially on longer journeys, and has given me very little trouble over the years.
The previous owner took really good care of it, and I’ve continued to do the same. It comes with a full service history and original logbook, and I’ve had it serviced annually at Avoca Auto Services in Randwick.
In July 2025, I spent $2,474.55 on a major service and maintenance, which included replacing the timing belt, water pump, DPF pressure sensor, engine oil and filters, along with a safety check. The timing belt and water pump are particularly important maintenance items on these cars, so it’s great peace of mind for the next owner knowing this work has already been done. I have the invoice and service records to show everything.
The interior is in great condition for its age, including the seats, and everything has been well looked after. It also has tinted windows, rear parking sensors and two original keys.
Naturally, being a 2013 car, there are a few scratches and signs of wear and tear on the exterior. There’s also some minor damage around the front number plate where someone reversed into it with a tow bar. I’ve tried to show everything clearly in the photos and video so there are no surprises.
The only reason I’m selling is that we’ve ordered a bigger family car. With a dog now part of the family, we just need something with a bit more space. Otherwise, I’d happily keep driving it.

Overview
There's quite a lot in the A3 Sportback that may go un-noticed at first glance. What appears to be little different from its predecessor is actually a completely new vehicle, a product of sophisticated manufacturing processes. And then there's the substantially rolled back pricing for an all turbo, improved efficiency, lighter weight and more agile package. The interior is particularly special, with high comfort, good ergonomics and attention to detail. Boot/luggage space is also better than most, aided by the 60/40 folding rear seat backs. Safety features that are already excellent can be enhanced with features normally reserved for higher tier models.
