The SSS is all about the drive train. In manual form there's a perfect match betwixt engine and transmission, with well placed ratios and a willingness of the 140kW/240Nm turbocharged 1.6-litre to gladden the heart. Power comes on strong from low down, so you can ride the torque curve or let it rev out, depending on your mood.
