Overview
Replacing the 407 and 607 with the 508 is Peugeot's tilt at covering the local medium and large car segments, with the hope of bringing new buyers to the fold. With sedan and wagon versions (Active, Allure and GT sedan) and four Euro 5 engine options (two petrol, one being a 1.6-litre turbo, and two turbodiesels at 2.0 and 2.2 litres (GT only)) and six-speed autos, the e-HDi model is the most frugal at 4.4L/100km. Interior space is the largest in Peugeot's passenger car line-up, and safety reflects the latest thinking with five stars gained in Euro NCAP testing.
