The latest Renault Clio is available in Authentique, Expression, Expression Dynamique, GT and GT Premium guises offering two turbo engine choices: a 66kW/135Nm 0.9-litre three-cylinder in Authentique and Expression or, in higher-spec models, an 88kW/190Nm 1.2-litre four-cylinder. Fuel economy, especially in 0.9-litre form, is impressive and performance is spritely. The former models get a five-speed manual gearbox; the latter a six-speed dual-clutch auto. For a light hatch, accommodation and boot space are surprising.
