Overview
GDe4 Tourer 5dr DCT 7sp 1.6i The i30 was probably the first Hyundai to show the company's true mettle and today stands on its own merits, rather than cheap pricing, as a strong competitor in the small hatch segment. A recent facelift connects it visually to the premium-class Genesis, and there's plenty going on in terms of on-road capability, safety, quality, function and space utilisation. The i30 " sedan or wagon " comes with a choice of three petrol engines 98kW/163Nm 1.6-litre, 107kW/175Nm 1.8-litre and 129kW/209Nm 2.0-litre, and a 94kW/260Nm 1.6-litre turbo-diesel. There are three transmissions: six-speed manual and auto, and a seven-speed automated manual.
