Overview
CK MY18 GT Fastback 5dr Spts Auto 8sp 3.3TT Kia shakes up the family-car segment with its new front-engine, rear-drive Stinger five-door fastback/sedan. Seen by many as a successor to the departed Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon, the Stinger comes with either a 182kW/353Nm 2.0-litre turbo engine (zero to 100km/h in 6.0sec), or a muscular 3.3-litre twin-turbo V6 GT that pounds out 272kW/510Nm to reach 100km/h in a super-swift 4.9sec. Autonomous emergency braking, along with lane-keep assist, becomes standard from the 200Si model upwards. The Stinger is spacious inside, and comes with an ability to confidently tackle Australia roads in the tradition established by the departed, rear-drive Holdens and Fords.
